Found this rare gem tonight thanks to my Google map. Directly off the highway exit but too many trees to make it visible from the highway.  Classic supper club atmosphere with a focus on quality
food, service, and staff.  The Bloody Mary"s and stuffed mushrooms were delicious and we can't wait to go back to try the hand cut steaks.  There was also patio area overlooking the river which is a great spot for an after dinner drink on a warm summer night.

We visited The Rivers Bar & Supper Club early on a Saturday evening for dinner.  We had a group of about 10 people, and they were easily able to accommodate our group; we were seated right away.  We had a pleasant dining experience with good food and good drinks in a classic Wisconsin supper club environment.

There was only one gentleman working it seemed (other than whoever was in the kitchen), and he served both a few patrons at the bar as well as waited on our table.  We were the only party in the restaurant at the time, but I still found this impressive.  The menu was standard supper club fare.  Everyone in our group ordered the prime rib (except me), which came with a solid soup and salad bar.  We shared an appetizer sampler that included some good mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers.  I opted for the walleye sandwich.  Although plain in presentation, it was delicious and a large portion.  I went with the house-made fries which were thin and crispy instead of the frozen crinkle cut (someone in our group who tried both said they preferred the house-made).  My significant other chose the hash browns with his prime rib - we both agreed these were delicious.  I tried a few bites of the prime rib as well, and I thought it was good.

All-in-all, we had a good experience at The Rivers.  The service was great, the atmosphere was traditional, and the food was good.  The food was a little on the pricey side ($20/plate), but the portions were definitely large.  The drinks were inexpensive; they had an old fashioned special going that night of $3.50/drink.  I don't normally order cocktails but being in a supper club it seemed like the thing to do, so I went with a brandy old fashioned sweet with olives.  I was pretty satisfied with it!  I would recommend checking it out for dinner and drinks.

The food was great. Good fish selections but the atmosphere needs to be improved. They need to add more paintingsto be called a supper club. The price was reasonable which included salad bar and soup bar but the salad bar was very basic. The soups were homemade and excellent. The tables needed some nice tealights or candles.

We just went here recently for Friday fish. As someone who has traveled the lower 48 states for 25 years, I've partaken of the good, the bed and the ugly, throw in  horrible service too. This place was a real gem! A very nice menu, perch, walleye, bluegill and cod!  The salad bar is awesome and the seafood chowder is the best we've ever had. I've been all up and down the eastern seaboard, this chowder was exceptional. The fish was excellent and the service was great.  Homemade American potato salad, very tasty. We found a great new restaurant!!

Paid $70 for a drink and potato. Salad bar was mediocre, soups the beef potato comaparable to tasting a salt lick, and seafood chowder had srange rubber ribbons and smelled and tasted like a minnow farm. Ordered a filet mignon medium rare and got a unrecognizable smashed "tube" of barely seared cold meat intertwined with gristle and fascia. Disgusting. Showed it to waitress and was informed it was "pounded down to  cook better". What?? Asked for prime rib in replacement. The three 1" long bites that I had to surgically remove from the what was predominately fat, as was my husband's rib eye, eas edible. Baked potato was good and my drink, also. When paying bill, noticed we were charged  the $8 more for the filet, not the prime rib and were curtly told we could pay for what we originally ordered, by the owner. Reminder's were displayed at table and on check about how to pay with chipped cards. The owner's and staff should realize it's not the cards or customers...it's the food and service.
